Team India will take on South Africa in the upcoming second T20I at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, October 2.
The hosts are leading the three-match series 1-0 without winning the opening match by eight wickets, thanks to sunny performances by Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav. India will be hoping to grab the victory in the second match as well to seal the series.
On the other hand, South Africa have a do-or-die situation as they need to win the upcoming fixture in order to alimony the series alive. For the record, the Proteas haven’t lost a T20I series in India.
The Barsapara Stadium has so far successfully hosted only four T20 internationals, while one was x-rated due to a wet pitch. Further, a shortened game seems to be on the cards as there is a 40% endangerment of rain during the contest.
